Requirements:
BACKGROUND
The National Institute of Child Health and Human Development requires maintenance services for specialized laboratory instruments used by the Bonifacino research group within the Division of the Neuroscience, Cellular and Structural Biology. These instruments support ongoing biomedical research involving protein analysis, cell biology, and biochemical processes. To ensure continued reliable operation and prevent disruption to research activities, preventive maintenance and repair services are required. This acquisition is being pursued to maintain operational readiness of existing government-owned equipment located in Building 35 at the National Institutes of Health Clinical Center in Bethesda, Maryland.
SCOPE OF WORK/TASKS
The contractor shall provide full-service maintenance support for government-owned laboratory instruments. Services shall include, but are not limited to, the following:
· Perform annual preventive maintenance for each covered instrument in accordance with manufacturer recommendations · Provide on-demand repair services, including troubleshooting and corrective actions to restore functionality · Supply all required replacement parts, consumables, labor, and travel necessary to complete maintenance and repairs · Provide technical support and respond to service requests in a timely manner · Perform software updates, patches, and system checks when available and applicable
The contractor shall ensure all equipment remains in safe, reliable, and fully operational condition throughout the period of performance.
DELIVERABLES
· Completion of preventive maintenance services for all covered instruments · Service reports documenting all maintenance activities, repairs, and system status · Timely repair and restoration of equipment functionality following service requests · Documentation of any replaced parts, performed updates, and technical support actions
Place of Performance: National Institutes of Health, Building 35, Bethesda, Maryland Government Point of Contact: To be designated by the requiring office Deliverables shall be provided throughout the period of performance as services are performed.
