The City of South Pasadena Public Works Department is seeking qualified contractors for a five-year on-call contract to provide citywide sanitary sewer and storm drain repair and maintenance services. - Government Buyer: - City of South Pasadena Public Works Department - Scope of Work: - On-call inspection, maintenance, and repair of sanitary sewer and storm drain systems - Emergency response to sewer blockages - Point repairs on sewer lines using trenchless or open-cut methods - Replacement of damaged or deteriorated storm drain sections - Video inspection of utility lines (up to 300 linear feet) - Sewer pipeline replacement: 8-inch (42 linear feet), 12-inch (30 linear feet), 15-inch (24 linear feet) - Asphalt pavement reconstruction (200 square feet) - Sewer bypass and pumping (20 days) - Shoring of open excavation (20 days) - Replacement of manhole covers and frames (5 units) - Additional services: slip-lining, rehabilitation, manhole repair, curb/gutter/sidewalk repair, catch basin and drainage grate work, road shoulder grading, lift station repairs, traffic control, and site cleanup - Contractor Requirements: - Must hold a valid California Contractors License (Class A or C-42) - Must comply with 2024 SSPWC and 2021 SPPWC standards or as directed by the City Engineer - No specific OEMs or product manufacturers are named in the solicitation - Notable Requirements: - Fixed pricing for the first year, with annual adjustments based on the Consumer Price Index for Los Angeles - The city maintains approximately 58 miles of sewer infrastructure - Contract may be terminated by the city with 30 days' notice

Description

The City of South Pasadena is seeking one or more contractors for a contract term of up to five years to perform citywide sewer and storm drain repairs on an on-call basis. The scope includes inspection and repair of utility manholes, replacement of damaged storm drain sections, point repairs on sewer lines using trenchless or open-cut methods, emergency response to sewer blockages, and video inspection. All work must comply with the 2024 Edition Standard Specifications for Public Works Construction and other applicable standards. Contractors must hold a State of California Contractors License Classification A or C-42.
