Escambia County Department of Waste Services is seeking a qualified contractor to provide comprehensive inspection, monitoring, repair, and maintenance services for fire and security systems, as well as fire extinguisher services, across multiple waste management facilities. - Government Buyer: - Escambia County Board of County Commissioners - Department of Waste Services - Office of Purchasing - Scope of Work: - Regular inspections (monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, annual) of fire protection systems including: - Sprinkler systems - Fire pumps - Fire alarm control panels - Hydrants - Backflow preventers - Detection systems - Dry chemical systems - Monitoring of fire and security alarm panels/accounts at multiple buildings (Admin, Operations Garage, Scale House, Warehouse) - Fire extinguisher services: - Inspection, recharging, replacement, hydro testing, and servicing for a wide range of extinguisher types and sizes (2.5 lb, 5 lb, 10 lb, 15 lb, 20 lb, 50 lb, K Class, CO2, Hi Flow Purple K, Hi Flow Dry Chemical) - Hourly service rates for non-inspection repairs and maintenance - Locations: - Perdido Landfill (Cantonment) - Palafox Transfer Station (Pensacola) - Oak Grove Citizens Convenience Center (McDavid) - Requirements: - All services must comply with NFPA codes and standards - Contractors must provide 30-minute advance notice before arriving at locked sites - All travel, equipment, labor, and additional costs must be included in bids - No specific OEMs or brands are mandated; the solicitation is open to all qualified service providers - Estimated contract duration is up to 5 years, with a base term and renewal options
