Ivy Tech Community College's Indianapolis Campus is seeking proposals for new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment to support its Homeland Security/Public Safety Program. - Government Buyer: - Ivy Tech Community College, Indianapolis Campus (Executive Director of Finance: Tyler Douthit) - OEMs and Vendors: - MSA (manufacturer of G1 SCBA units) - Alternate OEMs may be proposed if clearly identified - Products/Services Requested: - 30 MSA G1 SCBA units with quick connect tanks and masks - 15 additional 30-minute 4500 PSI cylinders (quick connect, low-profile, lightweight) - 4 six-gang charging stations (120V A/C desktop or comparable, must charge at least 24 batteries at a time) - 3 fill station QC adapters (QC to 1/4" NPT F Kit) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - All equipment must meet or exceed NFPA 1970 and NIOSH 42 CFR Part 84 standards, and comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134) - Strict adherence to safety certifications and documentation - Vendors must demonstrate relevant experience, competitive pricing, and strong post-sale warranty/service support - Inclusion of minority, woman, and veteran business participation plans is required - Equipment is intended to replace aging units and provide students with modern, industry-representative training tools

Ivy Tech Community College's Indianapolis Campus is seeking a qualified vendor to supply new Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) equipment for its Homeland Security/Public Safety Program. The procurement includes 30 SCBA units with integrated tanks and masks, 15 additional 30-minute 4500 PSI cylinders, four 6-gang charging stations, and three fill station adapters. All equipment must meet or exceed NFPA 1970 and 1852/1850 standards, comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.134), and carry NIOSH certification under 42 CFR Part 84. The purchase is funded in part by a Perkins Grant and aims to replace aging equipment, establish reliable maintenance and testing schedules, and provide students with modern training equipment.
