CDCR Solicits Statewide Vehicle and Equipment Transportation Services

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking contractors for a Master Agreement to provide statewide transportation services for vehicles, equipment, and materials across its correctional institutions and facilities. - Government Buyer: - California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) - Office of Business Services, Contracts Management Branch, Division of Administrative Services - Products/Services Requested: - Transportation services for light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment (operational and non-operational) - Services include loading, securing, transporting, and delivering assets to various locations, including auctions and other CDCR sites - Contractors must provide all labor, personnel, transportation (travel, per diem, fuel, mileage), materials, supplies, tools, equipment, permits, licenses, taxes, fees, and shipping/freight charges - Services are provided on an as-needed basis, with no guaranteed minimum quantities - Bidders must submit rates for various mileage ranges and asset weight classes (see Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet) - Multiple award structure: primary, secondary, and tertiary service providers - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Compliance with all applicable laws, licensing, insurance, and security requirements - Contractors may use subcontractors with prior approval - Participation incentives for small businesses and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) - Bidders are not required to bid on all locations but must bid on all locations within any selected group - Contract allows for amendments to add or remove participating locations and assets - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation.

Description

This solicitation is for a Master Agreement under which the contractor will provide vehicle, equipment, and/or material transportation services for Light, Medium, and Heavy-Duty asset classes as specified in the Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet. The contractor will be compensated according to the rates in the Exhibit B-1 Rate Sheet, which cover all labor, personnel, transportation costs (including travel, per diem, fuel, and mileage), materials, supplies, tools, equipment, permits, licenses, taxes, fees, shipping/freight charges, and other necessary expenses. Services will be provided for California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) locations listed in Exhibit E, List of Participating Locations. Bidders are not required to bid on all locations but must bid on all locations within each selected group.
