This award supports the Social Security Administration's (SSA) efforts to enhance security and data integrity for Social Security Number (SSN) card production. - Government Buyer: - Social Security Administration (SSA), Print Operations - OEM and Vendor: - Videk, Inc. (sole source, manufacturer and service provider) - Products and Services Requested: - Installation of a second Videk DocuVision Inspection and Data Integrity System on each SSN card printer at two SSA facilities (Perimeter East Building in Baltimore, MD, and Second Support Center in Durham, NC) - Maintenance subscription for the Videk DocuVision systems, with additional cameras covered under the current contract at no extra cost - Product Details: - 2 Videk DocuVision systems to be installed (one per print line) - System enables automated reading of card serial numbers with anti-fraud features, pairing serial numbers with SSNs in the Numident database - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Only Videk, Inc. is authorized to provide these systems and maintenance - Upgrade enhances fraud detection by reading both the front (SSN) and back (serial number) of each card during printing - Maintenance for new cameras is included under the existing Videk contract

Description

12-month renewal to add a second Videk DocuVision Document inspection and data integrity system on each SSN Card Printer. The Print Operations depends on Videk's DocuVision Inspection and Data Integrity System to deliver comprehensive real-time job auditing and control. This capability allows SSA to effectively monitor and safeguard the lifecycle of its documents. This enables SSA to track and protect the document lifecycle of Social Security Cards. There are two print lines in total with this system. Therefore, two Videk systems in total will be upgraded. SSA currently uses the Videk DocuVision system to scan and record the top of ID cards to read Social Security Numbers. The Print Operations is adding a second DocuVision System to read the preprinted stock/serial number on the back side of each SSN Card during the printing process. Maintenance for the additional cameras will fall under the current Videk maintenance contract at no additional cost.
