The Town of Sussex, New Brunswick, is seeking bids for the Lagoon Berm Reinstatement project, managed by the Sussex Public Works office. - Government Buyer: - Town of Sussex, represented by Mr. Kris Butcher - Scope of Work: - Reconstruction and reinstatement of lagoon berm exterior slopes - Earthworks including supply and placement of 1,500 tonnes of common fill - Installation of 1,200 m2 geotextile filter fabric - Placement of 1,400 tonnes of R25 rip rap (600mm thick) - Surface preparation and clearing/grubbing of 1,100 m2 - Supply and placement of 1,000 m2 of 100mm topsoil and hydraulic seeding - Haybale slope re-seeding for 1,000 m2 - Removal and disposal of 210 linear meters of existing chain link fence - Installation of 210 linear meters of new chain link fence - Installation and maintenance of 250 linear meters of sediment control fence and 2 sediment control berms - Notable Requirements: - Bid bond or certified cheque for 10% of total bid amount - WorkSafe NB clearance letter required - For contracts over $250,000, a Letter of Good Standing from the New Brunswick Construction Safety Association (or equivalent for out-of-province bidders) - Environmental protection and health and safety compliance - Public tender opening immediately after closing - No specific OEMs or branded products are named in the solicitation - All work must be substantially complete by the specified completion date, with a one-year warranty period

Description

This solicitation is for the reconstruction of lagoon berm exterior slopes in the Town of Sussex. The work includes reinstatement of a lagoon berm with common fill, geotextile fabric, topsoil, hydroseed, and R50 Rip Rap. Existing chain-linked fencing is to be removed and replaced with new chain-link fencing. Sealed tenders must be submitted by August 6th, 2026, with a bid bond or certified cheque of 10% of the total amount payable. The public tender opening will occur immediately after the closing time.
