Description

This Public Land Order extends the withdrawal established by PLO No. 7668 for an additional 20-year term to prevent uses conflicting with the operation of the Utah Lake Drainage Basin and Diamond Fork Systems, part of the Bonneville Unit of the Central Utah Project. The project supports Utah's irrigation, municipal, industrial, hydroelectric, conservation, and recreation needs. The lands remain open to mineral leasing and other legally authorized uses on National Forest System lands. The order includes a corrected legal land description aggregating 6,558.96 acres in Utah County. The withdrawal will expire 20 years from the effective date unless further extended by the Secretary of the Interior.
