Description
The Coast Guard is establishing a temporary special local regulation for certain waters off the shore of Fairport Harbor Lakefront Park on Lake Erie. This regulation is necessary to ensure the safety of life on navigable waters during the Lake Metroparks Pirate Triathlon event on August 2, 2026. The regulation prohibits persons and vessels from entering the regulated area unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Eastern Great Lakes or their designated representative. The special local regulation covers all navigable waters within 50 yards of the on-water portion of the triathlon and is effective from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on August 2, 2026.
