Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has submitted an information collection request (ICR) for the NSPS for Greenhouse Gas Emissions for New Electric Utility Generating Units to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval. This is a proposed extension of the ICR, currently approved through July 31, 2026. The regulations apply to newly constructed, modified, or reconstructed electric utility generating units that commenced construction or modification after January 8, 2014, but on or before May 23, 2023. The information collection ensures compliance with the standards and requires notifications, performance tests, periodic reports, and record maintenance by affected facilities.
