Description

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is proposing to approve a State Implementation Plan (SIP) revision submitted by New Jersey. This revision certifies and meets Reasonably Available Control Technology (RACT) requirements for the Serious classification of the 2008 and the Moderate classification of the 2015 8-hour ozone National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) in New Jersey's portion of the New York-Northern New Jersey-Long Island nonattainment area. The SIP revisions also fulfill SIP requirements for the Ozone Transport Region for the 2015 Ozone NAAQS. The proposal is in accordance with the Clean Air Act and includes provisions for public comment until August 24, 2026.
