The Securities and Exchange Commission has submitted a request for approval of an extension of the previously approved collection of information under Rule 611 of Regulation NMS. This rule requires national securities exchanges, associations, alternative trading systems, market makers, and broker-dealers to establish policies to prevent trade-throughs, ensuring transactions are not executed at prices inferior to protected bids or offers displayed in other markets. The collection supports enforcement of compliance with the rule to prevent trade-throughs. Approximately 305 respondents are estimated to comply annually, expending about 18,300 hours in total.
