Description
The President issued a notice continuing the national emergency declared on July 26, 2019, with respect to the situation in Mali. The emergency was declared due to threats to U.S. national security and foreign policy arising from ongoing instability in Mali, including coups, terrorist activities, drug trafficking, human rights abuses, and attacks on civilians and international forces. The national emergency is extended for one year beyond July 26, 2026, pursuant to the National Emergencies Act.
