This opportunity is a government surplus sale by the Minnesota Army National Guard for deformed expended small arms brass cartridge cases intended for recycling. - Approximately 37,060 pounds gross (35,747 pounds net) of deformed brass casings are available - Casings are 0.50 caliber and smaller, deformed per DoD instruction 4715.4, and certified safe - Material is stored in 9 tri-wall Gaylord boxes on pallets at Camp Ripley Ammunition Supply Point, Minnesota - Bids are due by August 3, 2026, at 10:00 AM CDT - Minimum acceptable bid is $1.00 per pound - Payment must be made in full by certified check, money order, or surety bond within 10 business days of award notification - If using a surety bond, payment must be completed within 14 calendar days of removal - Pickup must be scheduled within 14 calendar days of notification, during normal operating hours - Government labor will assist with loading, but the purchaser is responsible for removal and transportation - This is a one-time sale for recycling purposes; no OEMs or specific vendors are involved

Description

The Minnesota Army National Guard (MNARNG) has approximately 37,060 pounds gross (35,747 pounds net) of deformed brass casings stored in Gaylord boxes/pallets available for sale for recycling. Material has been deformed in accordance with DoD instruction 4715.4. Payment upfront for the entire purchase price, shipment price, or a surety bond that covers the total price bid must be received in order to schedule a brass pickup.  The payment or surety bond must be received by the USPFO within 10 business days of notification of award.  If applicable, paying upfront for multiple shipments, the first shipment will not be scheduled until the check or bond has been received.  Any subsequent shipment(s) of the brass shall not be scheduled until each additional check has been received.
