NOAA's Eastern Acquisition Division is seeking annual shipyard services for the Research Vessel (R/V) MINKE, a 29-foot aluminum high-speed catamaran, to support ongoing research operations. - Government Buyer: - Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Eastern Acquisition Division, NOAA Simplified Acquisition Branch - OEMs and Vendors: - Yamaha (for engine maintenance) - Interlux (for antifouling paint and epoxy primer) - Products/Services Requested: - Annual shipyard maintenance and repair services for R/V MINKE - Hauling, cleaning, blocking, storing, and launching the vessel - Touch-up and repair of hull bottom coatings using Interlux Ultrakote Antifouling paint (or equivalent) and Interlux Interprotect 200 Epoxy Primer (if required) - Certified Yamaha mechanic to perform inspections and preventative maintenance on two Yamaha 300XCA engines - All labor, materials, and facilities required for the above - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Welding must be performed by certified welders - Engine maintenance must be performed by a certified Yamaha mechanic - Contractor facility must be within 75 nautical miles of Santa Barbara, CA - All work must comply with ABYC and USCG standards - Contract is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing) - Low price technically acceptable evaluation method
