The U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit-EURAFCENT is seeking clinical and laboratory services in Cameroon to support two infectious disease research projects in partnership with the Cameroon Armed Forces and local military hospitals. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit-EURAFCENT (NAMRU-EURAFCENT) - NAVSUP Fleet Logistic Center Sigonella Naples, Italy - Services Requested: - Clinical and laboratory support for the Acute Undifferentiated Febrile Illness (AUF) Project at Douala Military Hospital - Support for the Surgical Site Infection (SSI) Project at Yaoundé Military Hospital and CRESAR laboratory - Study coordination, staff recruitment and training, subject enrollment, sample collection and handling, bacteriology testing, regulatory compliance, reporting, and shipping of biological samples for advanced analysis - Annual enrollment of 500-700 cases per project - Products Requested (laboratory consumables and supplies): - Vitek 2 Cards, API 20E Test Kit and Reagents, Whatman 903 cards, Malaria RDT hrp2 based kits, Blood Agar Base, MacConkey Agar, Mueller Hinton Agar, Tryptic Soy Broth, EDTA blood tubes, disposable venous blood specimen collection kits, Gram Stain Kit, Geimsa stain, microscope slides, cryovials, petri dishes, gloves, saline solution, alcohol, autoclavable tape and glassware, and other laboratory consumables - Unique Requirements: - Contractor must manage specimen handling and logistics, including shipping bacterial isolates for advanced analysis - Coordination with Cameroon Armed Forces, Military Health Research Center (CRESAR), Douala and Yaoundé Military Hospitals - Regulatory compliance and reporting for research projects - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the documents; products listed are generic laboratory supplies and test kits - Period of performance includes a 12-month base year with one 12-month option year

The U.S. Naval Medical Research Unit-EURAFCENT (NAMRU-EURAFCENT) is an infectious diseases research institute of the United States Navy. NAMRU-EURAFCENT conducts research that enhances warfighter readiness by executing scientific research and surveillance initiatives throughout the USAFRICOM, USCENTCOM, and USEUCOM areas of responsibility.

This is a non-personal service contract for study coordination and support for two research projects executed in partnership with the Cameroon Armed Forces (CAF), the Military Health Research Center (CRESAR) in Yaoundé, the Douala and the Yaoundé Military Hospitals.
