UCLA is requesting written responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select a Geotechnical Engineer for the West Valley Medical Center Master Plan Study located in West Hills, CA. The project includes construction of a new hospital and central plant, a new parking structure, and renovation of the existing Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit building, along with site circulation and utility improvements. The hospital and parking structure will be constructed using Progressive Design-Build and Design-Build delivery methods, respectively, aiming for LEED Gold certification. The California Department of Healthcare Access and Information and other state agencies are expected to review and approve the geotechnical reports. The construction cost is not yet determined and depends on design completion and phasing.
