The BC Wildfire Service, under the Ministry of Forests, is seeking qualified Forest Professionals for timber damage assessment and valuation services on private land impacted by fire control activities. - Government Buyer: - Ministry of Forests, BC Wildfire Service - Services Requested: - Written timber damage assessments and valuations for private land - Timber cruising, timber valuation, and preferably log scaling - Requirements: - Respondents must be registered and active Forest Professionals with the Forest Professionals of British Columbia - Certification under the BC Forest Safety Council SAFE Company program or an equivalent recognized safety scheme is mandatory - This is a qualification-based solicitation for inclusion in a Multi-Use List of Qualified Suppliers - Work will be awarded on a non-exclusive, as-needed basis - No specific OEMs or commercial vendors are named, as this opportunity is for professional forestry services - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on professional credentials and safety certification - Services directly related to government-caused timber damage on private land

Description

BC Wildfire Service invites responses from Forest Professionals registered and active with Forest Professionals of British Columbia, whose scope of practice includes timber cruising, timber valuation, and desirably log scaling, to provide written timber assessments of private land that suffered damage to timber from fire control actions. The services include assessment and valuation of timber damages on private land as a result of fire control activities by the Government. Qualified Suppliers may be sent Competition Notices on a non-exclusive "as, if and when requested" basis to provide these services. Qualified Respondents must be certified in the BC Forest Safety Council SAFE Company program or under another recognized scheme. Interested Suppliers are invited to submit a Response to be evaluated for addition to the Ministry’s Multi-Use List of Qualified Suppliers of Timber Cruising and Valuation services.
