NIST's Ion Storage Group (Physical Measurement Laboratory, Division 688) is seeking to procure two narrow-linewidth fiber lasers for precision laboratory use. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) - Physical Measurement Laboratory (PML), Division 688, Ion Storage Group - NIST Boulder Campus - OEMs and Vendors: - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation or attachments - Products/Services Requested: - Two (2) narrow-linewidth fiber lasers - Output wavelength tunable, including 1071.18 nm and 1071.36 nm - Output power: greater than 20 mW - Spectral linewidth: below 3 kHz - Single frequency operation - Both thermal and piezo tuning (thermal tuning range to include 1071.18 nm to 1071.36 nm; piezo tuning range minimum 100 MHz; piezo modulation speed over 20 kHz) - PM fiber coupled output with FC/APC connector (PER at least 20 dB) - Internal output isolator - Includes all necessary control electronics, software, cables, and temperature/wavelength control - Power stability: less than 1% rms over 8+ hours - RIN @ 1 MHz: -110 dB/Hz; Signal to Noise ASE Ratio (50pm): >65 dB; Side Mode Suppression Ratio: >50 dB - Designed for installation in a temperature-controlled laboratory (dT < 0.5°C) - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Delivery required within 10–12 weeks after order - Small business set-aside - Evaluation on Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) basis - Firm fixed price contract - Delivery to NIST Boulder, CO - All technical specifications must be met; additional options or services may be requested
