NOAA's Radar Operations Center is seeking X14 Frequency Multipliers for the WSR-88D NEXRAD Doppler Radar system. - Government Buyer: - National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Radar Operations Center (ROC), Engineering Branch/W/OBS13 - National Weather Service (NWS), Radar Operations Center (ROC), WSR-88D NEXRAD Radar Program - Products Requested: - X14 Frequency Multiplier units (A2A1 units) - Part number: 2200737-201 - 1 First Article unit required for initial testing and qualification - Up to 26 optional production units, contingent on First Article acceptance - All units must conform to vendor item control drawing 2200737 Rev B - Units must meet specific electrical, mechanical, and environmental requirements for compatibility with existing radar systems - Delivery & Performance: - First Article unit delivered to Norman, OK within 20 weeks of award - Production units delivered to Grandview, MO within 20 weeks of First Article acceptance - Partial deliveries of production units are allowed - Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on quality testing, past performance, and technical capability - First Article Test Report required - All units must be compatible with the WSR-88D NEXRAD system - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; procurement is open to qualified small businesses able to meet the technical specifications

Description

The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to award a firm fixed price contract for X14 Frequency Multipliers built to specifcations for the Radar Operations Center in Norman, OK. The Government intends to make an award to the responsive responsible quoter providing the best value in accordance with FAR 12.203(c)(2) and is 100% set-aside for small business entities.

DOC, Eastern Acquisition Division requires that all contractors doing business with this office be registered with the System for Award Management (SAM). No award can be made to a company not registered in SAM. Contractors active in SAM have a unique entity identifier (UEI) that is used to do business with the federal government. The Government has moved to a free new, non-proprietary identifier that will have to be requested in, and assigned by, the System for Award Management (SAM.gov).
