The Army Contracting Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground is seeking to procure specialized accelerometers and related hardware for test and evaluation operations: - Government Buyer: - Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground - OEM Highlight: - Dytran Instruments, Inc. is the sole specified OEM for all requested products - Products Requested: - Tri-axial DC Accelerometers: - Model 7533A7-05: +/-40g, integral 5 ft cable (10 units) - Model 7603D5: 50g (10 units) - Model 7603D7: 200g (20 units) - Cable Assemblies (9 Pin Jack to Pigtail): - 30 ft (11 units, part number 6964A30) - 50 ft (20 units, part number 6964A50) - 100 ft (10 units, part number 6964A100) - Adhesive Mounting Bases: - Aluminum anodized, orange, with tapped holes (30 units, part number 69026) - Notable Requirements: - All accelerometers must use variable capacitance technology - Sensors and hardware must be fully compatible with existing Army vibration data acquisition systems to avoid costly reconfiguration - Calibration certificates are required for each sensor - Only Dytran brand-name products are acceptable for this procurement

Pre-Solicitation Notice of Intent to Sole Source 

The Department of the Army, Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) is publishing this Notice of Intent to Sole Source for the procurement of brand-name Dytran Instruments, Inc. accelerometers and associated hardware. 

In accordance with RFO FAR 12.102(a), this posting formally documents and publicizes the Government's decision and supporting basis that only one source is reasonably available for this acquisition, which is valued at or below the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT).
