Description
In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the U.S. Department of the Interior, Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) and Eastern Washington University have completed an inventory of human remains and associated funerary objects. They have determined a cultural affiliation between these remains and objects and Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The notice details the repatriation process and the cultural affiliation with the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation. Repatriation may occur on or after August 21, 2026.
