Description
In accordance with the Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA), the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences intends to repatriate a certain cultural item that meets the definition of an object of cultural patrimony and that has a cultural affiliation with the Indian Tribes or Native Hawaiian organizations. The cultural item is known as catalog number C13450, made of woven plant fiber, and is connected to The Osage Nation. Repatriation may occur on or after August 21, 2026. Requests for repatriation must be sent to the Buffalo Society of Natural Sciences.
