This opportunity involves the City of Galveston and the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) seeking proposals for major intersection improvements at 33rd and 75th Streets along Seawall Boulevard. - Government Buyer: - City of Galveston Department of Finance Purchasing Division - Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), Traffic Operations Division - OEMs and Vendors: - Notraffic (vehicle detection and sensing systems, control units, video/radar detection devices, detection cables) - Henke (traffic signal controller cabinets) - Duralight (internally lighted street name signs, JXM-STN Series) - Falcon (lithium batteries for backup systems) - Other products must be sourced from TxDOT's Pre-Qualified Producers List; "or approved equal" language allows for alternative OEMs if pre-qualified - Products/Services Requested: - Construction and installation of new traffic signals, signal poles, controllers, vehicle and pedestrian signal heads, detection systems, conduit, electrical conductors, ground boxes, signs, pavement markings, curb ramps, and related civil works - Notable product line items include: - Notraffic vehicle detection and sensing systems, control units, video/radar detection devices, and detection cables - Henke TS2 traffic signal controller cabinets (or approved equal) - Duralight JXM-STN Series LED street name signs (or approved equal) - Falcon lithium batteries for battery backup units (or approved equal) - LED luminaire heads, NEMA load switches, MMU2 SmartMonitor, GPS receivers, fiber optic cable and patch panels - Accessible pedestrian signal push buttons and controller units - Various traffic signal pole assemblies, pedestrian pole assemblies, and anchor foundations - Extensive quantities of conduit, cable, and electrical components - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All traffic signal materials must be from TxDOT's Pre-Qualified Producers List - Coordination with the operational Computerized Transportation Management System (CTMS) and Houston Transtar - System must remain operational during construction - Strict utility protection and repair, accessibility compliance (ADA ramps, Registered Accessibility Specialist inspection), and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permitting for certain activities - Encouragement of Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), HUB, women, and minority-owned business participation
