This opportunity seeks proposals for runway equipment and specialized airfield systems for use across Canadian public sector organizations. - Government Buyer: - Rural Municipalities of Alberta (RMA), acting on behalf of CivicInfo BC, SARM, AMM, LAS, UMNB, NSFM, FPEIM, MNL, NWTAC, NAM, AYC, and their members - Includes all MASH/MUSH sectors, provincial governments, federal agencies, crown corporations, local governments, and not-for-profit organizations in Canada - Products/Services Requested: - Runway equipment: plows, blowers, brushes, sweepers - Anti-icing and deicing equipment - Rubber removal and runway traction equipment - Navigational aids: airfield ground lighting, approach indicators, runway end identifier lights, wind cones, beacons, closure markers - Specialized airfield monitoring systems: RWIS (Runway Weather Information Systems), RCD (Runway Condition Data), FOD (Foreign Object Debris), AWOS (Automated Weather Observing Systems) - Airfield surface surveillance and safety systems: VMATs (Vehicle Movement Area Transmitters), RIWS (Runway Incursion Warning Systems), in-cab displays, terrestrial ADS-B (Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast), inspection, monitoring, and decision-support systems - Related services: installation, maintenance, and support for all listed equipment and systems - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Solutions must be primarily intended for airfield and runway use - General technology or software solutions not specifically designed for airfields are excluded - No specific OEMs, vendors, or part numbers are named in the notice - Contract Duration: - Initial term of 47 months, with possible extensions up to 7 years

This Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks proposals for runway equipment and specialized airfield systems with related services. The procurement is for a national contracting solution to be used by members across various Canadian provinces and territories. The scope includes equipment such as plows, blowers, brushes, sweepers, anti-icing and deicing equipment, rubber removal and runway traction equipment, navigational aids, specialized airfield monitoring systems, and airfield surface surveillance and safety systems.
