THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. This announcement is a sole source pre-solicitation notice.
This acquisition is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of Title 10, U.S.C. Section 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements."A determination by the Government not to compete this effort is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government will not return any information submitted, nor will the Government compensate any company who responds to this notice.
This requirement will be solicited with only one responsible source in accordance with FAR 12 using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) hereby gives notice of its intent to award a sole source, Firm‑Fixed‑Price (FFP) contract to East Coast Metrology for the Tolerance-based Calibration & Repair with as found and as left data of (5) Government‑owned position, geometry and dimensions measurement equipment:

This procurement will be conducted under NAICS Code 811210 (Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance), which has a size standard of $34 million, and PSC J066 (Maintenance, Repair, and Rebuilding of Instruments and Laboratory Equipment).
The anticipated award will include one (1) Base Year of performance in 2026. Services include all labor, materials, OEM parts, calibration standards, traceability documentation, and certifications necessary to meet the Government’s technical requirements.
The solicitation is anticipated to be available no later than Friday July 31, 2026. Once available, the solicitation will be posted to this site: www.sam.gov under the solicitation number N4215826QN038. Potential vendors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available in electronic form.
