Septic System Replacement for Copper River Wildfire Facility – Alaska DNR

The Alaska Department of Natural Resources, Division of Forestry and Fire Protection, is seeking quotes for the Copper River Septic Construction project at a wildfire fighting facility in Tazlina, Alaska. - Scope of Work: - Replacement of a failing septic system, including installation of a 2,000-gallon epoxy-coated steel septic tank, soil absorption system with three 60-foot five-wide trenches, and associated sewer piping - All labor, materials, equipment, permits, mobilization/demobilization, and site cleanup are required - Products and Materials: - 2,000-gallon, two-compartment epoxy-coated steel septic tank (3/16" A36 domestic steel, 2" spray foam insulation) - 150 ft of 4" diameter PVC Schedule 40 insulated pipe with heat trace channel - 30 ft of 4" diameter PVC Schedule 40 pipe - 90 ft of 4" diameter SDR35 solid sewer pipe - 174 ft of 4" diameter SDR35 perforated sewer pipe - 543 cubic yards of unclassified excavation - 150 cubic yards of coarse grade sewer rock - 36 cubic yards of bedding material - 100 square yards of separation fabric - Requirements: - Minimum 5 years' experience installing DEC-approved septic systems in interior Alaska - All work must comply with Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) standards - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are mandated; materials must meet specified standards - Estimated contract value: up to $160,000 - No bonding required for this solicitation - Project is open to Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) - All offerors and subcontractors must be properly licensed and registered
