This opportunity is for construction services to replace the Kens Creek Bridge superstructure on Forest Road 86 in the Monongahela National Forest, managed by the USDA Forest Service. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Monongahela National Forest, Gauley Ranger District, CSA East 13 - Scope of Work: - Furnish and install one single-span timber dowel-lam slab superstructure - Includes construction survey, clearing, removal of existing modular bridge, installation of timber slab, riprap armoring, roadway subbase, aggregate, and asphalt wearing surface - Environmental protections, traffic control, and safety plans are required - Products/Materials Requested (selected line items): - Treated structural timber for superstructure (1 unit, part number 55704) - Mobilization, construction survey and staking, silt sock (570 LNFT, part number 15702), turbidity curtain (18 units, part number 15712), clearing and grubbing, removal of old structure, excavation, embankment, riprap, aggregate base, asphalt cement (base and wearing), pavement milling, concrete surface sealing and cleaning, temporary abutment bracing, guardrail components, erosion control products, signage, and temporary traffic control - Notable Requirements: - Total small business set-aside under NAICS 237310 - Instream work restricted to low-flow season (July through October 1) - Firm fixed price contract - Performance period: 365 days from notice to proceed, with some work ready for use within 88 days - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; the focus is on construction services and standard materials

Description

The USDA-Forest Service, Monongahela National Forest has a requirement to provide construction services for furnishing and installing one (1) single span timber dowel-lam slab superstructure on Forest Road 86. This project is located on the Gauley Ranger District of the Monongahela National Forest. Directions to FR 86 Kens Creek Bridge -From US-219 S/ WV-150 S intersection north of Edray, West Virginia head west on WV-150 S for 9.1 miles, then turn left onto Williams River Road. Continue on Williams River Road for 2.7 miles to the bridge location.

There is no scheduled site visit. 

All questions are due by August 4, 2026. 

The estimated magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000.
