Description

This solicitation seeks innovative solutions for Space Power Beaming (SPB) technology to enable long-range power delivery to multiple orbital regimes and terrestrial locations. The goal is to develop a near-term, Low Earth Orbit (LEO)-based prototype and demonstration to evaluate military utility, with four lines of effort: space-to-space power beaming, space-to-terrestrial power beaming, power beaming receivers, and next-generation power beaming components. Vendors may submit solutions addressing one or more lines of effort, with preference for those addressing space-to-space and space-to-terrestrial power beaming. The project includes milestones for lab-based demonstrations within 6 to 12 months and potential on-orbit demonstrations within 24 months, aiming for operational capability by FY30.
