The National Weather Service Weather Forecast Office in White Lake (Detroit), MI, under the Department of Commerce, NOAA, is seeking a contractor for comprehensive landscaping and grounds maintenance services. - Government Buyer: - Department of Commerce, NOAA, National Weather Service, Weather Forecast Office, White Lake (Detroit), MI - Scope of Services: - Weekly mowing of approximately 1.8 acres from late April to mid-October (25 weeks) - Trimming around buildings and sidewalks - Removal of clippings - Weed control in stone landscaping - Pruning and trimming of trees and shrubs (scheduled in late June and late August) - Seeding and fertilizing of lawn, trees, and shrubs - Treatment for weeds, crabgrass, and insects (seasonal schedule: spring, early June, fall) - Contractor must provide all personnel, tools, and materials - Compliance with NOAA policies, including sexual assault and harassment prevention training - Technical capability and experience in similar landscaping projects required - Period of Performance: - Base period with three one-year option periods, for a total potential duration of nearly four years - No OEMs or specific vendors are named; this is a service-based procurement - All work is to be performed at the Weather Forecast Office in White Lake, MI - Contractor bills monthly in arrears and must comply with all applicable regulations
