The U.S. Army Fort Benning Training Support Center is seeking an upgrade for its Thermwood CNC router (MTR21033) with a Thermwood Ultra 6 SuperControl system. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army, Fort Benning Training Support Center - OEM Highlight: - Thermwood Corporation is the specified and sole OEM for the required upgrade and services - Products/Services Requested: - Ultra 6 SuperControl upgrade kit for existing Thermwood CNC router (MTR21033) - Includes: 1 TB SSD, Intel i5 9th Gen Six Core Processor, motherboard, power supply, latest Thermwood software, programming manual, Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024, backup pen drive, miscellaneous cables - 1-year parts and labor warranty - Installation and travel included - Preventative maintenance service for the CNC router - Technician inspection, recommendations for part replacement or maintenance - Approximately one day of work, including travel - On-site Mastercam software training - For up to four students, three consecutive days (8 hours/day) - Includes all materials, labor, travel, and shipping of retrofit components - Notable Requirements: - All upgrade and maintenance work must be performed by certified and authorized Thermwood technicians due to proprietary software and hardware - Training and warranty support are integral to the procurement - Delivery and installation must be completed within 60 days of award

Synopsis: Fort Benning Thermwood CNC Ultra 6 SuperControl upgrade Services requirement. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis announcement; a market survey for information only, to be used for preliminary planning purposes. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED FROM THIS SYNOPSIS. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow-up information requests. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential HUBZone, Small Businesses and Service-Disabled Veteran Sources, Small Disadvantaged Businesses 8(a), Women Owned Businesses or large business interest in the Greater Columbia, SC region. Contractor's status will be verified through SAM and SBA. This notice is for planning purposes only. All interested parties should respond.  

The MICC-Fort Benning may issue a solicitation and award of a contract for “Fort Benning Thermwood CNC Ultra 6 SuperControl upgrade Services,” subject to availability of funds. The MICC- Fort Benning is seeking qualified, experienced and capable sources with certified and authorized technicians who possess the skills, training, and technical know-how of performing Fort Benning Thermwood CNC Ultra 6 Super Control Upgrade Services. It appears the utility software for this type of Thermwood CNC current Router MTR21033 is proprietary and written in a proprietary programming language, which leads to only one contractor, Thermwood Corporation, who is considered the only source who can meet the needs to upgrade the existing Thermwood CNC router. Full details are provided in the attached statement of work. The place of performance is the Fort Benning, Georgia 31905.
