Argonne National Laboratory, operating under the U.S. Department of Energy, is seeking individual innovators for the Chain Reaction Innovations (CRI) program focused on early-stage physical science and energy technology development. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) - Argonne National Laboratory - Program Overview: - CRI supports innovators with up to 24 months of mentorship, laboratory access, and an ORISE fellowship - Fellowship includes personal stipend, travel allowance, health benefits, and technical collaboration at Argonne - Program is divided into a Scope and Planning Phase (up to 6 months) and a Research and Development Phase (up to 18 months), contingent on DOE approval - Eligibility Requirements: - Applicants must be individuals (not companies or teams) - Minimum 5 years of R&D experience - U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required - Limited prior private equity funding - Intellectual Property: - IP rights remain primarily with the innovator - No specific OEMs, vendors, or product part numbers are referenced; the opportunity is for individual innovators to develop new energy technologies
