Description This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial products and commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Products and Commercial Services, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as an RFQ. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2024-3. This solicitation is set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334510 Electromedical and Electrotherapeutic Apparatus Manufacturing size standard of 1,250 Employees. Any proposed or equal must have the following salient characteristics:
General Requirements The system shall be a complete, manufacturer certified multi color ophthalmic laser photocoagulation platform suitable for retinal therapeutic procedures, including panretinal photocoagulation (PRP), focal/grid treatments, macular procedures, and peripheral retinal applications. All components listed below must be fully compatible and integrated as a complete operational package.
Multi Color Laser Photocoagulator Base Unit (MC 500 Platform) Must be a multi wavelength laser photocoagulator capable of delivering controlled energy for retinal and ophthalmic treatments. Must provide adjustable laser power, pulse duration, and spot size, controlled electronically through Below is a procurement ready Salient Characteristics document written in standard federal contracting language. No enterprise documents contained specifications for these items (74 meetings found, but nonrelevant). Scope The contractor shall provide a multi color ophthalmic laser photocoagulator system, including all listed modules, accessories, delivery components, warranties, and on site installation and training. All components must be new, fully compatible with each other, and manufactured by Nidek or the OEM specified.
General Requirements All equipment shall be FDA approved for ophthalmic use. System must meet or exceed applicable ANSI, IEC, and ISO standards for medical laser equipment.

Award will be based upon a comparative evaluation of quotes in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures of FAR 12. Comparative evaluation is the side by side pairwise comparison of quotes based on factors resulting in a Contracting Officer decision for the quote most favorable to the Government.
