Description

This contract involves the construction of pathways and installation of fiber optic cable from Hamburg Station to the North Avenue Maintenance Facility to establish communications connectivity between various instrument houses, traction power substations, station equipment cabinets, and the Operations Control Center (OCC). The existing 84 strand fiber optic cable, which connects all locations, has reached its end of life and must be replaced. The contractor is responsible for splicing into the existing 144 strand aerial cable, installing drop cables through pathways, terminating strands, and testing the fiber optic strands end to end.
