Columbus County Schools is seeking qualified, licensed utility contractors for the construction of an off-site sewer force main to serve East View School. - Government Buyer: - Columbus County Schools, Facility Services - Contact: Timmy Ward, Maintenance Director - Project Scope: - Installation of approximately 1,960 linear feet of 3-inch SDR-21 PVC sanitary sewer force main from East View School to the Town of Bolton's sewer collection station - Includes excavation, trenching, pipe installation, connections, fittings, boring (jack and bore under NC 214 Green Swamp Rd.), backfill, site restoration, erosion control, testing, and inspections - All labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, and incidentals required - Products and Materials Requested: - 1,960 linear feet of 3-inch SDR-21 PVC sanitary sewer force main pipe (Part Number: 3" SDR-21 PVC) - 60 linear feet of 8-inch steel casing pipe for jack and bore (Part Number: 8" Steel Casing Pipe) - 4 mechanical joint (MJ) gate valves (Part Number: 3" MJ Gate Valve) - 4 mechanical joint plugs (Part Number: 3" MJ Plug) - 2 mechanical joint tees (Part Number: 3" x 3" x 3" MJ Tee) - 6 mechanical joint 45-degree horizontal bends (Part Number: 3" MJ 45 Bend) - 1 combination air release vacuum valve (Part Number: ARI D-020 or equivalent) - 1 concrete manhole (60" diameter minimum, with anti-microbial additive) - 1 2-inch brass ball valve with handle - 1 2-inch ductile iron tapping saddle with stainless steel hardware - Services Requested: - Complete off-site sewer force main installation, including all construction, testing, and restoration - Notable Requirements: - Contractors must be licensed in North Carolina and have relevant utility construction experience - Compliance with NCDEQ and NCDOT standards is mandatory - Strict adherence to project specifications, including use of specified materials and components - Mandatory site visit required prior to proposal submission - Proposals must include company information, licensing, insurance, price proposal, project schedule, references, and list of subcontractors - No specific OEMs or product brands are mandated, but the air release valve references ARI D-020 or equivalent as an acceptable model

Columbus County Schools is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified, licensed utility contractors to furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, transportation, testing, restoration, and incidentals necessary to construct approximately 1,960 linear feet of 3-inch off-site sewer force main extending from East View School to the Town of Bolton's sewer collection station. The project includes excavation, trenching, pipe installation, connections, fittings, boring where required, backfill, restoration, erosion control, testing, and inspections. Contractors must be licensed in North Carolina with utility experience, insurance, OSHA compliance, and references for similar work. Proposals must include company information, license, insurance, price proposal, schedule, references, subcontractors, and acknowledgment of addenda.
