This opportunity is for professional services supporting the Raleigh Convention Center Expansion project. - Government Buyer: - City of Raleigh, Raleigh Convention Center and Performing Arts Complex - Office of Special Events Planner - Services Requested: - Construction materials testing and special inspection services - Includes geotechnical investigations, testing of sitework, retaining walls, pavement, concrete, masonry, structural steel, and other building materials - Daily work reports, deficiency tracking, compliance with Building Code and industry standards - Environmental investigation, monitoring, and construction-phase environmental compliance services - Supplemental pre-construction investigation, contaminated soil characterization and disposal oversight - Groundwater monitoring, vapor intrusion assessment, construction air monitoring - Stormwater and erosion control compliance monitoring, regulatory coordination and reporting - Requires certified personnel and accredited laboratories - Firms may submit qualifications for either or both scopes; evaluation will be separate - Notable Requirements: - Demonstrated experience with urban construction sites - Technical and administrative capabilities - Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including regulatory agencies (NCDEQ) - Compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Services will be required throughout the anticipated 36-month construction phase

Description

The City of Raleigh is seeking qualified firms to provide construction materials testing, special inspection services, and environmental investigation, monitoring, and construction-phase environmental compliance services for the Raleigh Convention Center Expansion. The project is located on a fully developed urban site in downtown Raleigh and involves coordination with multiple stakeholders including the Construction Manager, Design Team, City of Raleigh, and North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality. Firms may submit qualifications for either or both scopes of service, which will be evaluated separately. The solicitation requires demonstration of experience, skills, and technical and administrative capabilities for a collaborative team-based project delivery approach.
