The City of Glendale, through its Purchasing Office and Glendale Water and Power, is seeking to procure two (2) new Peterbilt 567 Setback Axle or equivalent tanker/hydro/air excavators. - Government Buyer: - City of Glendale, Purchasing Office, for Glendale Water and Power - OEMs and Vendors: - Peterbilt (OEM specified) - Equivalent products from other manufacturers may be considered if they meet all specifications - Products/Services Requested: - Two (2) 2026 or newer Peterbilt 567 Setback Axle or equal hydro/air excavation machines - Mounted on Class 8, heavy-duty 6x4 chassis/cab - Equipped with Cummins engines, Allison transmissions, advanced vacuum and water systems - Capable of simultaneous high-pressure water blasting or air excavation and vacuum excavation using a positive-displacement rotary lobe vacuum pump - Must comply with California and federal safety and emission standards - Delivery to Glendale, California (FOB) - All units must be new and unused - Factory-authorized technical training sessions - Minimum of 8 hours per order, split into two sessions: one for operator crews, one for fleet service personnel - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Only authorized dealers of the manufacturer may bid - Vendors may propose equivalent models but must provide detailed specification sheets for 'or equal' submissions - Detailed drawings must be submitted for approval - Pre-construction and pre-delivery inspections required - Minimum warranty of three years or 36,000 miles from in-service date - Factory-authorized training for both operators and maintenance staff - Compliance with all manufacturer standards and warranties - Only one bid per vendor is allowed

Description

The City of Glendale is soliciting quotes for two (2) Peterbilt 567 setback axle or equivalent tanker/hydro/air excavators as per attached specifications. Vendors must submit responses electronically via the PlanetBids system or by sealed paper submission by August 6, 2026, at 11:00 AM. The city reserves the right to accept or reject quotations on each item separately or as a whole, and to reject any or all quotations. Vendors must provide spec sheets for equal items to avoid rejection, and only one bid per vendor is allowed.
