The Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) is seeking proposals for a comprehensive Bus Stop Signage Replacement Project across its fixed-route service area. - Government Buyer: - Birmingham-Jefferson County Transit Authority (BJCTA) - Procurement, Contracts & Materials Office - Products & Quantities: - Approximately 600 new aluminum bus stop signs (9x18 inches, 0.09 thickness, rounded corners, decals applied, UV and anti-graffiti coating) - 600 standard 6-foot galvanized U-channel poles (Buy America compliant) - 100 additional uninstalled new aluminum bus stop signs - Hardware: 3/8 aluminum drive rivets and one-way 3/8 screws & fasteners - Services Requested: - Removal of existing signs and poles as needed - Installation of new signs on new or existing poles (if serviceable) - Surface restoration: grinding pole remnants, concrete sidewalk repair, backfilling, and full panel replacement - Decal manufacturing, application, and field replacement - Optional services: emergency/expedited installation, traffic control, and utility conflict mitigation - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All signage and installation must comply with ADA, MUTCD, Buy America, and federal labor standards - Signs must feature UV-resistant and anti-graffiti coatings - Project completion required within 90 days from Notice to Proceed, with possible extensions for excusable delays - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation; the opportunity is open to all qualified suppliers and fabricators
