MANY EXPERIMENTS REQUIRE ISOLATION AND ANALYSIS OF SPECIFIC CELL POPULATIONS BECAUSE MIXED CELL POPULATIONS CAN PRODUCE UNCLEAR OR MISLEADING RESULTS. ALTHOUGH SINGLE-CELL SEQUENCING CAN IDENTIFY INDIVIDUAL CELL TYPES, IT IS COSTLY AND NOT PRACTICAL FOR ROUTING USES. AMORE EFFICIENT APPROACH IS TO SEPARATE CELLS BASED ON PROTEINS EXPRESSED ON THE CELL SURFACE.
