SUNY Upstate Medical University is seeking suppliers for a range of balloon angioplasty catheters, primarily manufactured by Abbott Laboratories, but will also consider clinically equivalent products from other OEMs. - Government Buyer: - State University of New York (SUNY) – SUNY Upstate Medical University - OEMs and Vendors: - Abbott Laboratories (primary OEM) - Vendors offering clinically equivalent products are encouraged to respond - Products/Services Requested: - Balloon angioplasty catheters for coronary procedures - Sapphire NC24 (various sizes and part numbers) - Sapphire II Pro (various sizes and part numbers) - Additional models referenced in attachments: Trek, NC Trek Neo, Mini Trek, Scoreflex NC - All products are sterile, single-use, and designed for high-pressure or semi-compliant coronary applications - Detailed part numbers and descriptions provided for each catheter type - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Vendors may propose clinically equivalent products but must provide free clinical documentation and equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial - Only vendors authorized under Premier Contract PP-CA-759 or approved equivalents are eligible - Compliance with New York State Finance Law §139 j&k (Lobbying Law) is required - No prior contracts for identical or substantially similar products have been awarded in the past five years - Period of performance is tied to the Premier consortium contract's expiration

Description

SUNY Upstate Medical University intends to purchase Abbott Laboratories DIC Balloon Catheters and Related Products from a contract awarded by Premier pursuant to its authority under section 163 (3) (vi), which authorizes the purchases of commodities from a consortium or comparable entity in lieu of using a centralized contract and without a formal competitive process when justified by price. Vendors who sell equivalent Abbott Laboratories DIC Balloon Catheters and Related Products may contact Honey-Beth Nelson to discuss the procurement. Equivalency must be demonstrated by meeting the clinical performance of the Abbott Laboratories DIC Balloon Catheters and Related Products, and vendors must provide free supporting clinical documentation and equipment for examination, demonstration, and trial.
