The U.S. Air Force 412th Maintenance Group at Edwards Air Force Base is seeking contractors for the manufacturing and installation of four large prefabricated aircraft sunshades on Ramp 7. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Air Force, 412th Maintenance Group, Edwards Air Force Base - Products and Services Requested: - Four (4) prefabricated aircraft sunshades, each 190 feet wide (clear span), 25 feet high, and 90 feet long - Sunshades must use 28 Oz flame-retardant PVC coated fabric covers - Frames must be constructed from 54 wall ASTM zinc tubular steel with corrosion protection - LED lighting package for each sunshade, compliant with UFC 3-530-01 (Section 3-9.2) - Six (6) 120VAC 20 amp NEMA 5-20P GFCI protected weather resistant outlets per sunshade (24 total) - Lightning protection system for each sunshade, compliant with National Electrical Code - Comprehensive services including design, manufacturing, assembly, site preparation, installation, and demobilization - Unique or Notable Requirements: - Compliance with military and FAA standards for safety, environmental, and security - Management of asbestos and hazardous materials as part of site preparation - Turnkey delivery including all labor, materials, tools, and equipment - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation - Interested parties must demonstrate capability to deliver all aspects of the project, including structural, electrical, and safety features

Description

This is a Sources Sought in support of Market Research being conducted by the United States Air Force to identify potential sources to provide the manufacturing and installation of aircraft sunshades. The Contractor must provide all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the installation of aircraft sunshades described below. The work to be accomplished includes the following: Design of structure, design of structural foundations, design of lighting, superstructure, fabric cover, site preparation, site improvements, sunshade installation, and lightning protection.

This effort is in support of the 412th Maintenance Group, Edwards AFB, CA.

3. Requested Information

Interested parties are requested to submit a Capabilities Statement that clearly demonstrates their ability to perform the requirements stated above. Responses should include the following information:

Company Information: Company name, address, Point of Contact (POC) name, title, telephone number, and email address. Identifiers: Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code and Unique Entity ID (UEI). Business Size/Socio-Economic Status: Indicate business size and any applicable socio-economic designations (e.g., Small Business, 8(a), HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business) under the anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code [Insert NAICS Code, e.g., 238990 or 332311]. Capabilities & Experience: A brief description of your company's capabilities, facilities, and previous experience on similar projects involving aircraft sunshade design, fabrication, and installation. Include contract numbers if past work was performed for the Federal Government.
