The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is seeking FAA Part 145-certified overhaul services for Lycoming aircraft engines supporting its Aviation Support Unit (ASU) fleet. - Government Buyer: - Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) - Finance and Facilities Division, Procurement Section - Facilities Acquisition Unit - OEM Highlight: - Lycoming is the sole specified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) - Vendors/Providers: - Only FAA Part 145-certified service providers using genuine Lycoming OEM parts are eligible - Products/Services Requested: - Overhaul, inspection, testing, repair, and documentation for Lycoming aircraft engines - Engine models include TIO-540-AJ1A, IO-540-AB1A5, IO-540-AC1A5 - Services support Cessna 182, 206H, and T206H aircraft - Standard overhaul packages (teardown, cleaning, inspection, compliance with Airworthiness Directives and Lycoming requirements, test cell run, documentation, preservation, packaging) - Over & Above work (e.g., crankshaft/case half replacement, major repairs, additional inspections) with government approval - OEM-approved or FAA-approved replacement parts and accessories - Quantities and Ordering: - Estimated average of nine engine overhauls annually, with actual numbers based on aircraft utilization and maintenance needs - BPA structure with a base year and four option years; each year includes at least one overhaul per aircraft model - Unique/Notable Requirements: - All overhaul work must be completed within 60 days of engine receipt unless otherwise approved - All work must comply with FAA and Lycoming requirements, and deliverables include overhaul reports, FAA documentation, and compliance listings - Only genuine Lycoming OEM parts are permitted - Total small business set-aside under NAICS 336413
Description
The FBI requires FAA Part 145-certified engine overhaul services for approximately forty-seven (47) Lycoming aircraft engines supporting the Aviation Support Unit (ASU) fleet of Cessna 182, T206H, and 206H aircraft. Engine models include, but are not limited to, the Lycoming TIO-540-AJ1A, IO-540-AB1A5, and IO-540-AC1A5. Requirements are expected to average approximately nine (9) engine overhauls annually, with actual quantities and ordering frequency dependent upon aircraft utilization, engine operating hours, maintenance condition, and mission requirements.
