NIST is seeking maintenance and emergency repair services for its Alerton Envision for BACtalk Building Automation System at the Gaithersburg campus. - Government Buyer: - National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) - OEM Highlight: - Alerton is the specified Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the building automation system - Services Requested: - Bi-monthly preventative maintenance for Alerton Envision systems - Diagnostics, data backup, graphics revisions, and control loop tuning - Emergency response services (40 hours included) - Maintenance covers 6 Alerton Envision locations, 2 servers, 4 clients, 16 BTIs, and 9 BCMs - Strict IT security and access management requirements, including HSPD-12 compliance - Deliverables include safety plans, quality control plans, schedules, and reports - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Contractor must comply with federal IT security protocols - Services must be performed on Alerton Envision for BACtalk systems, requiring specialized expertise - Emergency response capability is a key requirement

Description

This notice serves as both a Notice of Intent to Sole Source and a Sources Sought Notice. The Government intends to award a sole-source contract to the identified contractor because it is believed to be the only responsible source capable of meeting the Government's requirements. This notice is not a solicitation or a request for proposals. However, the Government is conducting market research to determine whether other responsible sources exist that possess the capability, experience, and resources necessary to satisfy the requirement described in the attached Performance Work Statement (PWS).
