This opportunity is for the supply and assembly of specialized electronics for the Advanced Light Source Upgrade (ALS-U) at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), managed by the Department of Energy (DOE). - Government Buyer: - Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory (LBNL), under the Department of Energy (DOE) - Procurement office and technical contacts include Arielle Anoop and the ALS-U project team - Products/Services Requested: - Fabrication, assembly, inspection, and testing of Beam Position Monitor (BPM) Chassis Major Assemblies for Groups B, C, and D - Key PCB assemblies and boards with part numbers and quantities: - AMI PCB (AL-1873-3317): 130 units - AFE RF A PCB (AL-1731-6642): 920 units - AFE RF B PCB (AL-1760-5393): 920 units - SPB2 Board (AL-1922-5262): 130 units - PMB Board (AL-1888-0614): 130 units - LBL208_PMOD Board (AL-1877-2689): 130 units - FPD Board (AL-1635-0801): 130 units - AFE Backside Board (AL-1880-0239): 1300 units - CLK104A Board (AL-1871-8740): 130 units - Balun Board (AL-1877-2686): 130 units - Deliverables are split into first articles and two production batches for each item - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Strict quality assurance, documentation, and first article approval required before production - Weekly status reporting and hold points for inspection - Environmentally preferable products and electrical device certification required - Small business set-aside under NAICS 334418 (Printed Circuit Assembly Manufacturing) - Proposals evaluated on technical capability, delivery, manufacturing capacity, past performance, and quality - No specific OEMs are named; the opportunity is open to qualified manufacturers of electronic assemblies
