This memorandum documents the United States Trade Representative's investigation under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 into Brazil's acts, policies, and practices concerning digital trade, electronic payment services, unfair tariffs, anti-corruption enforcement, intellectual property protection, ethanol market access, and illegal deforestation. The investigation found certain Brazilian practices to be unreasonable or discriminatory and burdensome to U.S. commerce.
