Description

This notice announces the extension of the restriction on the validity of U.S. passports for travel to, in, or through the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK). Since September 1, 2017, all U.S. passports have been declared invalid for such travel unless specially validated. The restriction, which was set to expire on August 31, 2026, is extended until August 31, 2027, unless further extended or revoked by the Secretary of State. The extension is effective from September 1, 2026.
