The Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) is seeking a contractor to provide comprehensive blockage removal, sanitary system maintenance, and cleaning services for FDNY facilities across all five boroughs. - Government Buyer: - Fire Department of the City of New York (FDNY) - Bureau of Fiscal Services, Contract Development Unit - Scope of Services: - Removal of blockages from building drain lines, plumbing fixtures, vent and leader stack lines, storm and yard drains, and oil separators - Cleaning and disinfecting of sanitary system backups, including sewage spills - Sewer vacuum and jet vacuum services (minimum 15 cubic feet capacity) - High-pressure water jetting of drain lines (up to 6 inches, up to 3000 PSI) - Pump truck services (minimum 3,500 gallon capacity) for cesspools, septic tanks, sewer ejector pits, and basements - Video camera line inspection services with detailed reporting - Sanitary plumbing maintenance, including removal/resetting of fixtures and replacement of defective parts - Estimated Quantities (Annual): - Blockage removal: 2,000 line items (main/trunk lines, fixtures, drains) - Cleaning/disinfecting: 200–400 line items - Sewer vacuum/jet vacuum: 200–400 line items - High-pressure water jetting: 200–400 line items - Pump truck: 100–200 line items - Video camera inspection: 75–150 line items - Plumbing maintenance: 200–400 line items - Notable Requirements: - 20% Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) subcontracting goal - Compliance with prevailing wage laws (NY State Labor Law Article 8) - Maximum 40% subcontracting of total workload - All labor rates must be fully burdened (inclusive of labor, materials, and replacement parts) - Strict insurance, safety, and community hiring requirements - Liquidated damages for non-compliance or delays - No specific OEMs or vendors are named; the contract is open to qualified service providers with relevant experience.

Description

The Fire Department of the City of New York seeks the services of a qualified Contractor to remove blockages from building drain lines, plumbing fixtures, vent and leader stack lines, and yard and storm drains; perform maintenance of sanitary systems; provide pump truck, jet vacuum and video camera inspectional services; and clean and disinfect sanitary system back-ups in Fire Department facilities throughout the five boroughs of New York City. The contract includes various sanitary maintenance and cleaning services with an estimated procurement value of $6,000,000. The anticipated contract period is from September 1, 2026, to August 31, 2031. Responses must be submitted via the NYC PASSPort system, and the bid opening is scheduled for August 13, 2026, via Microsoft Teams.
