USDA Forest Service Solicitation: Cerro Pelado Roads Reconstruction and Maintenance

This opportunity is for the reconstruction and maintenance of roads in the Cerro Pelado area, managed by the USDA Forest Service, Santa Fe National Forest, Jemez Ranger District. - Government Buyer: - USDA Forest Service, Santa Fe National Forest, Jemez Ranger District (Contact: Melissa Heckenlaible) - Scope of Work: - Reconstruction of 8 miles of Maintenance Level 2 roads - Placement of aggregate on 14.3 miles of Maintenance Level 3 roads - Major tasks include: - Mobilization, clearing and grubbing, removal of structures and obstructions - Excavation, embankment, and backfill - Installation, maintenance, and replacement of corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culverts (18", 24", 30", 36", 48") - Placement of approximately 1,400 tons of aggregate, 500 tons of earthen backfill, and 20 tons of riprap - Installation and maintenance of cattleguards - Construction and reconstruction of drainage dips, rolling dips, and ditches - Asphalt patching and traffic control (permanent and temporary) - Optional items for additional clearing, grubbing, and stockpiling of aggregate and riprap - Products/Materials: - Corrugated metal pipe (CMP) culverts (various diameters and lengths) - Aggregate, riprap, geotextile, backfill soil - Cattleguards and traffic control markers - Notable Requirements: - Emphasis on protecting historic features and existing infrastructure - All labor, materials, equipment, and transportation must be provided by the contractor - Work must comply with Forest Service specifications and Davis-Bacon wage determination - Project includes both base and option items for expanded scope - No specific OEMs or proprietary products are named; standard construction materials and equipment are required.
