The City of Dunwoody Department of Public Works is seeking contractors for a citywide ADA Handicap Ramp Replacement project. - Government Buyer: - City of Dunwoody, Department of Public Works - Scope of Work: - Replace existing ADA-compliant handicap ramps that are damaged, deteriorated, or non-compliant - Remove and dispose of damaged sidewalks, curbs, and gutters - Form, place, and finish new concrete ramps - Install surface-mounted ADA warning pads (truncated domes) - Restore adjacent surfaces (sidewalk, curb, gutter, landscaping) - Products/Services Requested: - 28 new ADA-compliant ramps (complete with concrete and detectable warning surfaces) - 1 surface-mounted detectable warning surface (truncated domes) - 100 units curb & gutter replacement (as needed) - 25 units sidewalk replacement (as needed) - Site assessment, demolition, construction, restoration, clean-up, quality control, and safety services - Notable Requirements: - All work must comply with current federal ADA standards, local codes, and Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) specifications - Contractors must be GDOT registered or pre-qualified in Work Class 441, unless previously approved by the City - Strict adherence to work hours, traffic and pedestrian control, and quality control (including daily inspections and compaction testing) - Deliverables include progress reports, photos, and traffic control plans - No specific OEMs or vendors are named in the solicitation

The City of Dunwoody is initiating a citywide project to replace existing ADA compliant handicap ramps that are damaged, deteriorated, or no longer meet current accessibility standards. The project aims to ensure safe and accessible pedestrian routes throughout the city, particularly at sidewalk intersections and key pedestrian corridors. Construction includes removal and disposal of damaged sidewalks, curb, and gutter; forming, placing, and finishing concrete; and final site clean-up. The work will be performed at various locations throughout the City of Dunwoody as directed by the City. The project requires compliance with federal ADA standards, local codes, and Georgia Department of Transportation specifications.
