The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District, is seeking to procure a high-capacity, oil-free, diesel rotary screw air compressor for use on a sand blasting and painting barge supporting Mississippi River maintenance. - Government Buyer: - U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Rock Island District (Civil Works, W07V ENDIST ROCK ISLAND KO Contracting Division) - OEMs and Vendors: - Caterpillar (OEM specified for engine) - Products/Services Requested: - 1 Trailer Mounted 1600 CFM Oil Free Diesel Rotary Screw Compressor - Must include Caterpillar C13B engine or equivalent - Dual pressure range: 150/200 psi - Sound level: 85 dBA at 20 feet - Containment basin, cold weather pack, 120v connection, and aftercooler required - Delivery to Le Claire Base Warehouse, Pleasant Valley, IA - Unique/Notable Requirements: - Engine must be Caterpillar C13B or equivalent to maintain standardization with existing fleet - Standardization enables use of Caterpillar diagnostic software and reduces training/retrofitting costs - Compressor is critical for sandblasting and painting tainter gates, supporting navigation channel maintenance - Delivery required within 180 days of award - Set aside for small business participants
